This represents many of my favorite landscape locations. I try to revisit these places during other seasons of the year with different light, weather, and change of scenery, hoping to improve my presentations. Unfortunantly, in some cases the scene has deteriorated due to people's reckless activity. I believe that photography can connect people with nature, which in turn, can help them to appreciate the natural beauty of our planet.

A smaller world, without a horizon, could encompass a scale of a few feet across to several yards. This “Intimate Landscape” presents a wealth of wider choices of subjects and flexibility of composition. This can more often emphasize shapes and texture as well as interesting details. This is not extreme close-up or abstract photography. These images contain recognizable elements to the viewer. Photography has taught me to slow down and be aware of details that often go unnoticed by most people. I believe that this intimate view can relate to the wider world, and the viewer is free to imagine how the image relates to the surroundings as well as their past memories and perhaps encourage them to a new awareness of the natural world.
